Obituary of Gail Marie Gruber

Gail Marie Gruber (neé Katala), of Holbrook, N.Y., died on March 12, 2020. Gail was born in Richmond Hill, N.Y., on August 17, 1944. She graduated in 1963 from St. John’s Episcopal Nursing School and had worked ever since as a registered nurse.
She is survived by her sons, Peter and Michael, and her daughter, Lisa; two grandsons, Ryan and Luke; and her brother, William Katala (Judy). She was the favorite aunt to her nieces and nephews.
Gail lived for her kids and grandkids, above all and anything else. Her love was huge. She had a great laugh. She was selfless and hilarious.
Visiting hours will be Sunday, March 15 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM & 7:00 - 9:00 PM at McManus-Lorey Funeral Home, 2084 Horse Block Road, Medford, NY.
The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Monday, March 16 at McManus-Lorey Funeral Home, 2084 Horse Block Road, Medford, NY. Burial will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park.
